Personal Information
“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. There is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.” – Henry David Thoreau
As a member of the firm’s transactional practice group, Mr. Mueller works diligently to build and strengthen legal foundations to help you reach your goals whether they are business or personal goals or a combination of both. Mr. Mueller stresses the importance of being pro-active and believes that one of the best ways to use an attorney is from the very start. “What I like about the Pre-Paid Legal plan is that before a member signs ‘that line’--whether it’s on a loan, a lease, a purchase agreement or a business venture--he or she can have an attorney review the document within three business days. Many problems have been avoided by members taking advantage of this.” Mr. Mueller has worked on large corporate matters and small business issues alike. An owner of two small businesses himself, Mr. Mueller has a special appreciation for entrepreneurs and the multiple challenges they face. He has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs navigate the legal labyrinth of business formation, contracts, funding, real estate, leases, zoning, permits, licensing, taxes, intellectual property, certificates of occupancy, employees, etc.. It is Mr. Mueller’s great privilege to assist business owners in overcoming challenges as they drive our economy and create new products, new services, new jobs, and better communities.
Proper business planning often coincides with estate planning. Mr. Mueller says, “You are working hard, playing by the rules, and taking care of your loved ones; do not leave all that you have built to chance. Put a plan together.” Mr. Mueller stresses asset protection and succession planning. “If you have a large estate, you need an estate plan. If you have a small estate, you need an estate plan. Beyond ‘death and taxes,’ we also need to be concerned with incapacity. If you are incapacitated, who will make financial and health care decisions for you? If you have children, who will care for them and how will they do it? Everyone needs and deserves an estate plan.”
In his book The Pre-Paid Legal Story, company founder Harland C. Stonecipher writes, “We are blessed to live in a country that mass-produces miracles.” Mr. Mueller whole-heartedly concurs and looks forward to working with you to achieve your goals!
