Davis Miles Announces Major Expansion in New Mexico

Category: Firm News

Davis Miles, one of the top-ranked law firms in Arizona, today announced an exciting expansion in New Mexico, adding two of the most prominent practitioners in the state to the team in its Albuquerque office.

As of August 1, family law attorney Joe Wiseman, president of Wiseman Legal Group and his team join Davis Miles. Joe has extensive experience in all aspects of family law and probate litigation. Joining him will be associate Matthew Huggins, along with paralegals Amanda Ruane, Holly Davis and Emily Davis. Wiseman and his team are widely known in the family bar in New Mexico. Wiseman has been in practice since 2012.

Dan Pick, president of Laflin Pick & Heer, and ranked in the Albuquerque Journal’s Reader’s Choice awards for his work providing estate planning legal services throughout New Mexico and beyond, will also join the new Davis Miles office together with paralegals Lydia Dean, and Evelyn Stuart.

The new attorneys, together with the existing Davis Miles team, have all moved to a new uptown location at 2440 Louisiana Boulevard, NE, Suite 300 in Albuquerque.

“This bringing aboard some of the top lawyers in New Mexico is what we are all about. Dan and Joe are not just among the absolute best at what they do, but they are also terrific people. When you make a decision to expand a law firm, one of the most important considerations is cultural fit.  We couldn’t ask for better alignment.  As we made our strategic plan, we recognized New Mexico as an important area of growth, and we are not done. We are excited to have Joe, Dan, and their respective teams join our firm. Together with Ron Holmes, who has headed that office for many years and continues to do a great job, our expectations are very high.”

In addition to estate planning, family law, and probate litigation, the office also has a very active consumer and business bankruptcy practice, as well as a civil and real estate litigation practice. The firm plans to add more lawyers in the next 18 months in New Mexico.
